Join us for the third annual summer study trip – The Civil Rights Movement in the South.  Travel through nine states in the historical heart of the Civil Rights Movement.

Partners in the Arts

Partners in the Arts, sponsored by the Arts Council of Richmond, is an arts-in-education program involving public school districts and independent schools in the Richmond region as well as local artists and arts organizations.

Reading Skills

On campus and at locations throughout Virginia, our Reading Skills Programs for Children and Adults is taught by experienced instructors from the Institute of Reading Development.

Leadership and the Chesapeake Bay

Leadership and the Chesapeake Bay, sponsored by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and the University's Center for Leadership in Education, encourages high school students to study the Bay and leadership in order to serve as leaders in their communities and enact real and lasting change on behalf of the Chesapeake Bay.

Teacher Education Institute

Questions of Conscience: Teaching about the Holocaust and Genocide is a week-long institute for educators, sponsored by the Virginia Holocaust Museum, that offers tools for teaching these sensitive topics.

Virginia Association of Independent Schools Emerging Leadership Institute

This Emerging Leadership Institute, a joint effort of the University's Center for Leadership in Education, provides aspiring leaders tools to help them advance their careers in Virginia independent schools.

Washington, DC Summer Internship & Career Seminar

This seminar offers an internship experience in metro DC for two months, and the chance to connect with Richmond alumni working in the DC area.

Personal and Professional Enrichment

Additional learning opportunities are available through the Summer Think Again catalog, offering a variety of affordable, non-credit classes that allow participants to explore personal and professional interests.

Summer Athletics

The Athletic Department offers a full schedule of both boarding and day summer camps, which are open to various age brackets.
