Application and Registration
Registration for Summer School classes is determined by your student status. See specific instructions below. Current UR students should call 804-289-8133 to be reinstated - do not complete the application.
Application and Forms
- Undergraduate applicants: complete the Summer School application form

- Graduate applicants: complete both the Summer School application form
and graduate student form
- Students who wish to live on campus for classes: complete the room and board form

- Students registering for an internship or independent study: complete the Individual Instruction Course Request form

- SCS Undergraduate Degree Application
: For those wishing to pursue a bachelor's degree, undergraduate certificate, associate degree or Weekend College in the School of Continuing Studies - SCS Graduate Degree Application
: For those wishing to pursue a master's degree or graduate certificate (Teacher Licensure Program applicants should contact the TLP program coordinator) in the School of Continuing Studies
Fees and Payment
Current tuition, fees, and payment options are available from the Bursar's Office. Payments are due no later than the first day of the term.
Course Selection
Review the current Academic Schedule to determine the summer term registration schedule, then look at the current Schedule of Classes. To assist you, a Registration Worksheet is provided by the Registrar.
Register for Classes – BannerWeb
After you have applied, you will receive a University ID by mail, which is required for registration. Access BannerWeb at bannerweb.richmond.edu by entering ID and PIN received by mail after selecting Secure Login. Follow the registration instructions for School of Continuing Studies students as provided by the University Registrar.
Activate University Network and Email Account
You will receive account activation instructions by mail within a few days of registering for classes, including your assigned network identification (NetID) and password. The New To Richmond information from Information Services details policies, resources, and account activation.
Activate and regularly use your University e-mail account to receive important notices. You may choose to forward your University e-mail to another e-mail address after activating your email account.
Register Vehicle with Parking Services
Access the Parking Services Web site and review the University's Parking Regulations and FAQs. Visit the Parking Services Office with 24 hours of arrival to pick up your parking permit. Summer School permits are free to new students, while current academic-year parking permits are valid through the summer term.
