Foreign Language
Whether driven by an interest to explore a new culture or to improve existing language skills, our foreign language classes help students of all levels accomplish language-learning goals in a non-competitive class environment.
Language-learning methods vary by instructor, but each course stresses confidence in the language and insight into the culture behind the language. University of Richmond professors, Fulbright scholars, and local professionals all serve as language instructors.
The School of Continuing Studies partners with the Spanish Academy and Cultural Institute to regularly offer courses that teach the foundations of the Spanish language, as well as courses that build on existing skills. Depending on instructor availability, classes in Arabic, Chinese, French, Italian, and other languages may also be offered.
Like all classes at the School of Continuing Studies, enrollment is open to the general public.
