Membership Levels

 Silver: $50/year (rolling 12-month)

Our Silver membership is the perfect get acquainted level for individuals who are interested in seeing what Osher has to offer. For a small annual fee, an individual receives a University of Richmond One Card and e-mail address, parking pass, full use of the library including access to online databases and access to register for Osher courses. However, Silver members pay for each course in which they enroll, $100 to audit available semester-long credit courses, and mini course fees.

Gold: $400/year (rolling 12-month)

Our Gold membership is perfect for individuals who want to take advantage of the entire Osher Lifelong Learning Institute experience. This individual membership includes a University of Richmond One Card and e-mail address, parking pass, full use of the library including access to online databases, and membership in Friends of Boatwright Memorial Library.  In addition, Gold members have unlimited access to all Osher courses free of charge (excluding off-campus trips).

Gold Plus One: $600/year (rolling 12-month)

Gold Plus One is the perfect membership for two people joining Osher together.  When you join with another person as a Gold Plus One member, each person saves $100.  This level includes the same benefits as our Gold membership but covers two people joining together.

Upgrading Your Membership

Are you a Silver member who is wondering if an all-inclusive Gold or Gold Plus One membership is right for you? Silver members may upgrade at any time during the first six months of their membership year. Upgrades will not change the membership term dates. When upgrading, the $50 Silver membership fee will be applied to the upgrade. University employees and retirees may become Osher members for $25.  For additional details, contact the Osher Institute office or review the employee and retiree membership application form.

How to Join

Download and print a membership application, selecting your membership option. Complete the application and forward to us with your payment. We accept check, MasterCard, Visa and American Express. If paying by check (made out to University of Richmond), please mail or drop off in person with your membership application.  Membership and registration fees must be submitted on separate checks. If paying by credit card, you may fax your completed membership application and credit card information to (804) 287-1264.  You may also mail your credit card payment to the above address or drop off your membership application in person at the Special Programs building. Course fees paid cannot be refunded or applied to membership fees.  Membership fees cannot be credited or refunded, except when upgrading your membership.
