The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) combines intellectual stimulation and civic engagement with a vibrant community of like-minded students age 50 and better. Pursue a special interest. Learn new skills and become involved with social issues. Learn computer basics. Engage in thought provoking discussions over lunch. Relive history. Experience the arts. Rediscover your love of learning. And do it all on the beautiful University of Richmond campus.
Established in 2004 at the School of Continuing Studies through an endowment from the Bernard Osher Foundation of San Francisco, we offer an extensive array of courses in the liberal arts in the fall, spring and summer semesters. These offerings are a combination of undergraduate credit courses for audit, special interest mini-courses, free lectures, community service projects, performing arts events and more. There are no entrance requirements, no tests and no grades. In fact, no college background is needed at all. It's your love of learning that counts.
If you're 50 or better with a curious mind and a keen interest in learning, we'd love for you to join us. You can become an Osher member for as little as $50 per year.

Osher Member Memorial
As many of you know, Wade Wood, one of our most active Osher Institute members, passed away in March 2009. We hope you enjoy this tribute
written by Wade's daughter Sally who is also an Osher member. And, here is a poem
written by Wade in the Osher "Why Not Poetry" class in spring 2008.
