New Student Orientation

The Spring 2008 New Student Orientation will be held Thursday, January 8, 2009, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the Alice Haynes Room of the Tyler Haynes Commons. Reserve your seat online or by calling 804-287-1204 or 804-289-8133.

If you are a new or current student who would like to know more about the resources on campus, attending the New Student Orientation will make it much easier to find your way.

Learn about University of Richmond resources and meet representatives from a number of offices and departments including the Libraries and Media Resources Center, the Writing Center, the Speech Center, the Technology Learning Center, the Academic Skills Center, and the School of Continuing Studies Student Government Association.

You will also have the opportunity to register your vehicle with Parking Services and activate your email account with Information Services. Refreshments will be served.

A Student Government Association (SGA) volunteer will conduct a campus tour in the comfort of a warm University of Richmond van before and after Orientation for anyone who is interested. You can learn more about our beautiful campus and familiarize yourself with important campus landmarks like the library, dining hall, registrar's office, financial aid office, SCS office and recreation center. Please call 804-287-6897 or select the campus tour option on the reservation form to reserve a seat on the campus tour bus. Please indicate the time you prefer: 5:15 PM or 8:15 PM.

New Student Orientations are offered a few days before the beginning of the Spring (January) and Fall (August) semesters. Orientations typically run from 6:00 - 8:00 PM and are held in the Alice Haynes Room of the Tyler Haynes Commons. [Find It!]
