Accounts - University Computing Accounts and Passwords
Enrolled students are provided accounts on Information Services managed servers. These accounts include the following: E-mail, Personal File Storage, Remote Access, Windows Domain, Personal Web Space, Blackboard, and BannerWeb.
BannerWeb - Online Registration, Payments, Grades and More
The University of Richmond registration interface, BannerWeb, enables online registration, online payment of fees, online access to unofficial transcripts and official grades, and more. Once you've received your University of Richmond ID, you can access BannerWeb at bannerweb.richmond.edu.
Bookstore - URSpiderShop.com
The University of Richmond Bookstore provides the official list of required texts for all School of Continuing Studies courses. The Bookstore also offers secure online purchasing of textbooks, supplies, and University-themed merchandise. Career Counseling
ReadyMinds is a distance career counseling organization. Eligible students are those who: are admitted to an SCS certificate- or degree-seeking program; have completed 12 semester hours at the University of Richmond; are in good academic standing. Computers - Internet, Hardware and Software
Internet Access. To access some University networks, including Netfiles personal storage and other Web servers, you must be connected to the University's servers using the modem pool (for dial-up access) or VPN (for broadband connections).

Hardware. The Information Services department provides minimum and recommended hardware standards for student computers. Fulfilling these minimum standards will enable you to access the University's networks.

Software. The Information Services department specifies standard software installations on University on-campus computers. Following these software standards will enable you to participate in most online courses. Individual instructors may require additional specialized software.

Antivirus. The University provides Sophos antivirus software free of charge to all enrolled students. You must have Sophos installed on your computer to access the University's networks. Download at wwws.richmond.edu/software - requires UR netID and password.
Help Desk - Information Services
The Help Desk provides support for University of Richmond technology, including virus protection, VPN software, and network administration. Library - Resources & Services

NetFiles - Personal Online Storage
The University provides each enrolled storage personal online storage space. Users may use this space to save files, share files, and receive files from other members of the University community. Data stored in NetFiles is backed up regularly.

Writing Center - Online Writing Lab (OWL)
The Writing Center provides individual tutoring in writing for undergraduate
and graduate students in any course or academic discipline. SCS students may also to use the Online Writing Lab for virtual tutorials with a Continuing Studies Specialist. For information visit the Center’s Web site at writing.richmond.edu.
