WELCOME to the first edition of the SCS Evening News for the Fall 2004 Semester. We would like to welcome our new and continuing students back to the university. SCS Evening News is published monthly during the Fall and Spring Semesters and contains updates on what is happening at the University, in the School of Continuing Studies, and among our faculty, staff, alumni and students.

We are excited to announce that, thanks to you, we saw an 18% increase in enrollments for Fall 2004 compared to the Fall 2003 semester. We hope the first few weeks of the semester have gone well for you and the remaining weeks will be even better. Once again, welcome to the University of Richmond.

Important Dates

• October 7: Audit Option ends at 5:00 p.m.
• October 8: Last Day to Withdraw from Class (see Policy)
• November 9: Registration begins for Spring 2005 classes
• November 22: Beginning of Thanksgiving Break after last class
• November 29: Classes resume after Thanksgiving Break
• December 4: Last day of Fall Classes
• December 6-11: Fall Term Exams
