Take Some Classes for Enrichment!

Evening School & Summer School
Most undergraduate School of Continuing Studies (SCS) classes offered through the Evening School and Summer School may be taken for enrichment without enrolling in a degree or certificate program. SCS classes are noted with a "U" in the course number on all scheduling publications (e.g. ENGL 101U). All prerequisite requirements must be followed.

  • Current Evening School Catalog
The catalog includes information on all SCS courses. Many courses in the catalog are offered sporadically or infreqently, so review the Schedule of Classes for details.
  • Current Schedule of Classes
The schedule of classes provides scheduling information on courses currently being offered or to be offered in the upcoming term.
  • Current Summer School Catalog
The catalog provides scheduling information, course descriptions, and complete enrollment instructions for all Summer School courses.

Enrichment and Development
The Office of Community and Professional Education (OCPE) offers classes for both personal enrichment and professional development. All OCPE classes may be taken for enrichment, without enrolling in a certificate program. All prerequisite requirements must be followed.

  • Current Think Again Catalog
This catalog lists scheduling information for enrichment and development classes. Includes courses from certificate programs that may be taken for enrichment.

Reaching Out to Educators
The Teacher Licensure Program (TLP) reaches out to current educators with classes that count toward teaching re-certification. These classes meet both enrichment and certification goals, and may be taken without enrolling in a certificate program.

  • List of Current Re-Certification Courses
List includes courses that count toward initial licensure, professional development, and special education endorsement.

Especially for Senior Learners
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute provides members with enrichment opportunities through Osher courses, special audit privileges in select credit-earning SCS classes, brown-bag lectures, and special events.
