Education Course Work for Aspiring and Current Educators
Prepare for teacher licensure, get recertified, or earn your M.Ed. The School of Continuing Studies offers three tracks of education course work:
- Our Teacher Licensure Preparation program prepares students who already have an undergraduate degree--or who are currently enrolled in the School's Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree--to apply for Virginia Department of Education teacher licensure.
- Our Graduate Programs meet the needs of current educators and prospective school leaders alike: we offer a degree in curriculum and instruction and a degree and a certificate in educational leadership and policy studies.
- Our Professional Development for Educators series offers current educators graduate course work that may be applied to Virginia Department of Education relicensure. These courses are held in local schools throughout Greater Richmond at convenient times for educators.
