Career Counseling

ReadyMinds - Are You Ready?

ReadyMinds is the new career counseling service dedicated to School of Continuing Studies students and UC/SCS alumni. With convenient and confidential career counseling, these national certified counselors will work with you one-on-one via online and telephone interaction focusing on your immediate occupational needs as well as your long term career goals.

Registration Qualifications
To qualify for this service as a curent student, you must have earned a cumulative GPA of 2.0 and completed 12 hours of Evening School credit at the University of Richmond -- transfer hours are not eligible. Once you complete the registration form, you will receive a response within 72 hours of confirmation of your student status at the School of Continuing Studies.

To qualify for this service as alumni, you must have current membership in the UC/SCS Alumni Association. After you complete the registration forms online, ReadyMinds will notify the School of Continuing Studies and you will receive approval to use this service.

Additional Details
ReadyMinds is a convenient, dynamic, online confidential career counseling program provided to a limited number of students (first come, first serve) at no cost. Students will work one-on-one with a nationally certified counselor via the telephone, focusing on the student’s immediate occupational needs, as well as their long-term career goals. Students can take a career assessment and understand how this assessment may relate to their educational or career plans. Students will also develop concrete approaches to career decision making, and receive resume and interview skills assistance from an experienced career counselor.
